WINE OF ASTONISHMENT Chapter1

Answer the following questions.
  1. "God don't give you more than you can bear, I say." What are the things hinted at in this chapter that Shouter Baptists must endure?
  2. What are the various roles that Eva plays in this chapter?
  3. We learn enough about Ivan Morton in this chapter to forecast what his role will be in the novel. Do (a)the mannerisms he has acquired, (b)his actions and (c)the things he says justify Bee's criticism of him (pages 13-14)
  4. Look at the image clusters with which Lovelace surrounds (a)Bee and (b) Bolo. What is he trying to suggest about each of these characters?

  2. This novel is simply interesting. It speaks of difficulties that individuals in daily life would face. To simply worship God entails hardship. Everyone do have a struggle to put up with in order to desire a specific objective.

  7. Do we need to complete both books in preparation for exam? Or can one book be used? My students and I are attempting to prepare for this exam in one year.. So far we have done 9 poems, we plan to complete the rest shortly.. We have done Wine of Astonishment..it is a book that i am familiar with.. we are also going to do A Midsummer's night dream and the prose in preparation for the exam... When i did English B it was not this technical lol any help or assistance offered would be greatly appreciated...
